ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP):Guinness Book of World Record has approved Pakistani Taekwondo black belt Ahmad Amin Bodla’s record of full contact punches in one hour holding 1kg weight in each hand.
Talking to APP, Bodla said his approved record is of 18,188 full contact punches in one hour holding 1kg weight in each hand.
He said this record category was introduced by Guinness with the requirement that minimum 10,000 punches should be struck.
“For over two years no person did it and I was the first person to do it by striking 18,188 in one hour. “I struck non-stop punches for one hour without a single second pause,” he said.
Bodla said this was my 10th Guinness title. “My major records are 355 kicks in one minute, 801 kicks in three minutes and 6970 kicks in one hour,” he claimed.
“I have been training very hard the last few months under the guidance of international coaches Sverre Diesen and Norman Breese,” he said and added my aim is to break 16 more Guinness World Records in 2018 to become a 25 times Guinness World Record Holder by the end of the year.
