SARGODHA, Jun 11 (APP):Provincial Chairman Zakat & Ushr Council Rana Manawar Ghous Khan has said that the recently announced federal budget aligns well with the expectations of Pakistan’s business community.
Talking to APP on Wednesday, he said the business community had high hopes from the federal government regarding the budget 2025, and those expectations have been effectively met.
Rana Munawar Ghous said that several initiatives have been introduced to promote economic stability and provide relief to all segments of society. He appreciated reduction in stamp duty on property purchases and lower taxes on salaried individuals, calling them commendable steps and positive signals for the economy and society.
He said that increasing the defence budget was a necessary move, especially considering the regional security situation and the presence of a neighbour like India so strengthening national defence, he noted, is imperative under current circumstances. He welcomed the increase in salaries and pensions for government employees, describing it as a reflection of the government’s commitment to supporting public servants. He stressed that providing relief to the salaried class and the property sector would prove beneficial for the overall economy.
He said the government, led by the Pakistan Muslim League-N and its allies, was making every possible effort to deliver economic relief within the available resources.
