LAHORE, Jun 10 (APP): The Federal Budget 2025–26 has introduced targeted incentives aimed at boosting exports, with a particular focus on the food products sector.
Commenting on the budget here on Tuesday, Coordinator to the Federal Tax Ombudsman Saif-ur-Rehman said that the measures include expanded export refinance facilities, specifically for the agriculture and food processing industries. He noted that exporters will now have access to subsidized financing, while a combination of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives is expected to drive a significant increase in value-added food exports. These steps, he added, will help diversify Pakistan’s economic base, stabilize foreign exchange inflows, and enhance the country’s competitiveness in global food markets.
