ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):The federal government will spend around Rs.1,904 million on 10 projects of the Industries and Production Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) during the upcoming financial year 2025-26.
According to a budget document issued here on Tuesday, an amount of Rs.1,154.281 million has been allocated for 08 ongoing development projects and Rs.750 million for 02 new development schemes.
Among ongoing schemes, an amount of Rs.285 million has earmarked for the establishment designing and automation centers at Karachi, Lahore and Sialkot whereas Rs.225 million allocated for the support centre for dental and surgical equipment (SCDS), Sialkot Punjab.
The government has allocated Rs.182.664 million for the establishment of 132 KV Grid station at Bin Qasim Industrial Park (BQIP), Karachi Sindh while Rs.150 million for the strengthening the engineering industry (SEI).
Among new schemes, the government has allocated Rs.500 million for the development of Block-a (500 acres) of phase-I (1500 acres) of the Karachi Industrial Park (federal SEZ) on approx.6400 acres of Pakistan Steel Mill land Karachi PIDC whereas Rs.250 million for 1000 Industrial Stitching units (Phase-II), SMEDA.
