LWMC carried out mega cleanup operation on Eid

LAHORE, Jun 10 (APP): A major clean-up operation has been completed; revealing how many contaminants were removed, how many liters of phenyl, rose water and how many kilos of lime were used.
CEO LWMC Babar Sahib Din told APP that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the biggest clean-up operation of Punjab was completed on Eid and a new record was set by removing 315,669 tons of garbage in three days. In 9 divisions of Punjab, 74 percent more garbage was removed in the last 3 days of Eid. The maximum amount of garbage was removed in Lahore, 78,771 tons. 143,429 liters of phenyl, 30,563 liters of rose water were used.
Likewise, 29,87,268 kilograms of lime were sprayed. Out of the total 12,000 received complaints , 11,880 complaints were resolved immediately. The Punjab government distributed more than 11.971 million free bags on Eid-ul-Adha, 1,684 altars, 816 dump sites, and 3,970 union council camps were set up.
