ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):In view of law and order considerations, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced the temporary closure of major entry and exit points to the Red Zone, including Express Chowk, Nadra Chowk, and T-Cross Bari Imam, until further notice.
An official told APP on Tuesday that citizens are advised to use alternative routes via Serena Hotel, Marriott Hotel and Margalla Road to access the Red Zone.
He said the ITP is actively working to guide and assist commuters to ensure smooth traffic flow. He further advised citizens to plan their journeys with an additional 20-minute buffer to avoid delays.
He said for further information, citizens may contact the Traffic Helpline at 1915. He also encouraged the public to follow ITP’s official social media platforms or tune in to FM 92.4 for regular traffic updates.
