KOT MITHAN, May 26 (APP)::Punjab Governor Malik Rafiq
Rajwana said on Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N)
government took many initiatives for uplift of south Punjab
and inauguration of decades old project, Shaheed Benazir Bridge
shows seriousness of the government to end sense of deprivation
among the people of the area.
While addressing a gathering after inauguration of Shaheed
Benazir Bridge by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the
governor said that the area had remained neglected in the past
but the PML-N government had initiated many development projects
in health, education and road infrastructure sectors and pumped
billions of rupees into south Punjab development.
He said that the bridge and the road had greatly reduced
distance between Rajanpur and Rahimyar Khan and it would benefit
traders in a big way.
Rafiq Rajwana criticised the turncoats, who recently left
the PML-N. He said that people would reject them in the upcoming
general elections.
He said that the turncoats were using demand for a separate
province merely as a slogan and added that it would be the PML-N
government which would make south Punjab a separate province.
The Punjab governor said that elections were only two months
away and expressed the hope that people would vote for the PML-N
on the basis of performance.
