LAHORE, Jun 07 (APP): The Prime Minister(PM) Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday held a warm and cordial telephone conversation with President of Tajikistan H.E.Emomali Rahmon, extending heartfelt Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the President and the brotherly people of Tajikistan.
During the conversation, the PM expressed gratitude for the generous hospitality extended to him and his delegation during his recent visit to Dushanbe.He also congratulated Tajikistan on the successful organization of the International Conference on Glaciers Preservation,terming it a significant contribution to global climate action.
Highlighting regional peace efforts, PM Shahbaz Sharif appreciated Tajikistan’s balanced stance during the recent Pakistan-India crisis.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability and noted that Islamabad had agreed to a ceasefire understanding with India in the spirit of promoting peace—an initiative facilitated by the United States and other friendly countries.
Both leaders reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the steadily growing cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Sharif reiterated his invitation to President Rahmon to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
President Emomali Rahmon thanked the PM for the Eid greetings and appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
He also extended his warm wishes to the people of Pakistan on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Adha.
