PESHAWAR, Jun 06 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, on Friday extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah, particularly to the people of the province and the merged districts, on the blessed occasion of Eid ul-Azha 1446 Hijri.
Highlighting the spiritual, social, and moral significance of this sacred day, the Governor said that Eid ul-Azha is a day of renewal of the spirit of sacrifice, sincerity, compassion, and humanity. It reminds us of the unparalleled obedience and sacrifice of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and his son Prophet Hazrat Ismail (AS).
The Governor urged the public to include the poor, underprivileged, and deserving people in the celebrations so that the joy of Eid can be shared equally by all.
“The days of Eid convey a message of mutual brotherhood, empathy, and unity,” he added.
Governor Kundi emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance, and fraternity. He said, “As Muslims, we must pledge on this sacred occasion not only to serve ourselves but to make serving humanity our mission.”
He called upon the nation to remain united for the stability, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and to face every challenge with solidarity.
He stressed that the blessings of this great day should inspire us to maintain unity at all levels for the security, sovereignty, and development of our beloved country, and to make every possible sacrifice for its wellbeing.
Concluding his message, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi prayed, “May Allah accept our sacrifices, grant peace, development, and prosperity to our country and nation, and bless us with the strength to sincerely follow His teachings.”
