Arafat, June 5, 2025 (APP):On the sacred occasion of Hajj, the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) continues to conduct effective aerial surveillance and humanitarian operations over the holy sites, ensuring the safety and comfort of pilgrims. These efforts are part of a comprehensive plan overseen by the Ministry of Defense and executed in close coordination with military, security, and civil authorities.
Brigadier General Salman bin Ali Al-Qahtani, Commander of the Air Force Hajj Mission Group, told the Saudi Press Agency that the RSAF’s participation is a key component of the ministry’s organized efforts to provide the highest levels of security during the Hajj season in collaboration with all relevant agencies.
He explained that the Air Force’s activities include air medical evacuation, rapid air transport of personnel and equipment, aerial monitoring of the holy sites, surveillance missions, and logistical support. These operations are designed to ensure swift responses to emergencies and the smooth flow of Hajj operations.
Brigadier General Al-Qahtani emphasized that the Air Force’s modern aviation system and highly trained personnel are operating around the clock to enable millions of pilgrims to perform their rituals in peace and security.
The RSAF’s contribution not only guarantees safety but also reflects the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to utilizing advanced technology and human resources at every level to make Hajj a secure, well-organized, and spiritually fulfilling experience.
