FAISALABAD, Jun 04 (APP):The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has finalised a comprehensive emergency duty plan to ensure timely response to any accidents or emergencies during the festival of Eid-ul-Azha 2025.
District Emergency Officer (DEO) Zafar Iqbal said that leaves of entire staff have been cancelled and the personnel were directed to remain on high alert across the district including Samundri, Jaranwala, Tandlianwala and Chak Jhumra.
He said that inspection teams have also been formed to regularly monitor rescue posts while control room staff has been directed to remain alert round the clock during Eid holidays.
He said that 41 rescue pickets have been set up at key locations including Eidgahs, mosques, recreational spots and cattle markets.
He said that 115 motorcycle ambulances along with vehicle ambulances and fire fighting vehicles would be stationed at strategic points across the city for prompt response.
He appealed the general public to cooperate with Rescue 1122 by ensuring safety of their children.
He urged parents not to allow underage children to ride motorcycles or swim in canals as such actions can lead to tragic incidents that spoil the spirit of Eid.
He said that Rescue 1122 is fully committed to protect lives and ensure public safety during Eid. However, the citizens should also react responsibly and celebrate Eid with care, he requested.
