FAISALABAD, Jun 03 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) during a crackdown in Jaranwala discarded more than 900-liter contaminated milk.
A PFA spokesman on Tuesday said the PFA teams launched a crackdown in Jaranwala on special directives of Director General PFA Asim Javed.
The PFA teams checked more than 4,000 liters milk at 26 milk shops while 121 milk-carrying vehicles were inspected at various checkpoints.
The PFA teams confiscated more than 900-liter adulterated and substandard milk which was disposed of on the spot.
The PFA teams also imposed a total fine of Rs 110,000 on the violators, the spokesman said, adding that no compromise would be made on public health and strict enforcement of food safety laws would continue.
