ISLAMABAD, Jun 2 (APP):The 39th death anniversary of renowned Pakistani comedian and actor Rafi Khawar, popularly known as Nanha, is being observed on Monday.
He was born in 1942 in Sahiwal, Punjab, Pakistan. Rafi Khawar rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with his iconic performances in television dramas and films.
His role in the classic TV show Alif Noon, alongside Kamal Ahmed Rizvi (Allan), made him a household name and cemented his place as one of Pakistan’s most beloved comic actors.
Known for his innocent humor, expressive face and impeccable timing, Nanha appeared in dozens of films, including Naukar Wohti Da, Dil Aur Duniya, and Sargent.
He got two Nigar Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Comedian in 1977 and 1983.
He died on this day in Lahore in 1986.
