LAHORE, May 31 (APP):The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) sanitation workers and officers will be active in the field on Eid while staff holidays have also been canceled.
CEO Babar Sahib Din told APP that instructions had been given to conduct cleanliness operation in all three shifts on Saturday and Sunday, additional staff had been deployed at bus stands, lorry depots, commercial markets and public rush places.
The sanitation staff will remain active in the cattle markets set up on Eid-ul-Adha, while more than 15,000 workers will be deployed for the best cleaning arrangements on Eid, he said.
Babar Sahib Din said machinery would be present in three shifts as cleaning process was underway on routes leading to Eid-ul-Adha, Jamia Mosques, and graveyards.
A control room has been set up to digitally monitor the cleanliness operation on Eid.
