ABBOTTABAD, May 31 (APP):District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad, Umar Tufail, emphasized the critical role of intelligence-based policing and professional training during a ceremony held at the Abbottabad Police School of Intelligence.
The event marked the successful completion of the 93rd Basic Intelligence Course for police officers.
The ceremony was also graced by Director of the Police School of Intelligence, Arif Javed Khan, SP Muhammad Ishtiaq, and other senior police officers.
On the occasion, DPO Umar Tufail distributed certificates to the officers who completed the course. In his address, he highlighted the growing importance of intelligence work in modern policing, stating that professional training is critical to meeting contemporary challenges.
He lauded the efforts of the Abbottabad Police School of Intelligence, terming it a laudable initiative that is helping officers stay updated with modern law enforcement techniques.
DPO Umar Tufail emphasized that intelligence-based policing is not only effective in crime prevention but also vital for safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. He congratulated the graduating officers and commended their dedication and professional competence.
As a token of appreciation, Director Arif Javed Khan presented a commemorative shield to DPO Umar Tufail in recognition of his continued support for capacity-building initiatives within the police force and his contributions to the development of intelligence operations.
