KARACHI, May 30 (APP): Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry called on Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori here at Governor’s House on Friday and discussed issues pertaining to the Port infrastructure, shipping and fisheries development.
The Governor Sindh said that public-private partnership in the maritime sector will open new avenues of development in the country.
The Governor welcomed federal and private cooperation in maritime projects.
He said that the ports of Karachi are the engine of the country’s economy, and developing them on modern lines is the need of the hour.
The meeting discussed the progress of projects under the Public Private Partnership model in Gwadar, Karachi and Port Qasim.
