BTTN, SVI launch book “Aryana to Balochistan: Odyssey Through Time”

ISLAMABAD, May 29 (APP):The Balochistan Think Tank Network (BTTN), Quetta, in collaboration with the Strategic Vision Institute (SVI), Islamabad, proudly launched the book Aryana to Balochistan: Odyssey Through Time on Thursday.
The event marked the unveiling of a landmark publication that explores the rich historical, cultural, and political journey of Balochistan—tracing its evolution from the ancient Aryana civilization to the modern-day province, said a press release.
The book encapsulates a meticulously researched narrative designed to bridge historical context with contemporary realities, making it a vital contribution to Pakistan’s academic and policy discourse.
The ceremony began with the national anthem and recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Zafar Ali, Director Research, SVI. A series of in-depth appraisals were presented by distinguished personalities.
The Editor-in-Chief of the book, Brigadier (Retd) Agha Ahmad Gul, former Head of BTTN, provided a comprehensive roundup by highlighting history and geography of Balochistan for a more inclusive and sustainable future. Dr. Zafar Khan, Executive Director, BTTN elaborated the rationale of the book and deliberated how this book becomes significant in the existing body of literature and why it is to be read by students, researchers and policy makers.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Lt. Gen. (Retd) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, Advisor, National Command Authority (AD NCA), followed by a group photo and lunch.
