Zafrullah stresses ensuring basic rights of minorities

ISLAMABAD, May 16 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Legal Affairs Barrister Zafarullah Wednesday stressed protecting the basic rights of minorities in the country in accordance with the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.
Addressing Symposium at Council of Islamic Ideology, he shed light on right of minorities saying Meesaq–e-Madina was the first charter which provided basic rights to minorities. Several Ahadees-e-Nabvi of the the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) could be found on ensuring rights to minorities and the down trodden.
Chairman CII Dr Qibla Ayaz thanked the participants of the symposium. He said country’s Ulema and Mashaikh are agreed on the declaration of Paigham-e-Pakistan declaration.
He condemned attack murderous attempt on Interior Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal.
