50,000 people trained under PMYSDP to overcome unemployment

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP): Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Sunday said 50,000 young people had been trained across the country
under the Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Programme (PMYSDP) to overcome unemployment.
He was addressing a ceremony of ‘1st National Skills Competitions 2016’ organized by National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said about one hundred thousand
young people of the country would be trained free of charge next year
under the same programme.
He said Pakistani youth had full potential and talent as compared to the developed countries.
He said the government would extend all support to NAVTTC for making Pakistani men and women skilled so that they could set
their own employment resources.
A number of institutions participated in National Skill Competition. The competition was conducted in ten different fields including electronics, cooking, dress making and beautician etc.
The winners of the competition was given awards worth Rs 100,000 to Rs 50,000.
Meanwhile, addressing another award distribution ceremony of First Serena Hotels Asian Tennis Tour at Pakistan Tennis Federation, he said Pakistani players had made good contribution in cricket, hockey, squash and other games and presented the good image of the country at international level.
This was a positive sign, he said, the Davis Cup would be held in Pakistan now after the gap of 12 years.
He said if the players were given all facilities they could make much contribution in different games while representing Pakistan.
The players were the ambassadors of any country and could show
soft image of the country, he added.
President Pakistan Tennis Federation, Saleem Saifullah Khan said the Davis Cup would be held in February in Pakistan.
The international teams were coming Pakistan as law and order had significantly improved, he said.
He said the Davis Cup would be a great recognition of the fact that the Pakistan was a safe country for all kind of sports.
He thanked the Serena Hotels management for sponsoring the current Tennis event.
