Work on western route of CPEC in progress: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD, April 19 (APP): Minister for Planning and Development
Ahsan Iqbal Wednesday informed the Senate that work on the western
route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was in progress and it would bring economic revolution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Replying to a question of Farhatullah Babar, he said there should be
no ambiguity on the western route. It was never ignored. It was included in the monographic study on transportation sector of China and Pakistan, he added.
The minister made it clear that the western route was very much part
of the CPEC planning. As promised by the government at All Parties Conference (APC), the work on it was launched on priority.
