ISLAMABAD, May 08 (APP): Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram has
criticized former cricketers, who refused to go through the process
of applying for the position of the national cricket team’s head
coach.
Wasim Akram along with former captain Rameez Raja was part of the
panel, appointed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to shortlist
candidates for the new coach after the resignation of Waqar Younis
following the national team’s disappointing show in the ICC
World T20 2016.
Though the former captain did not take any name, his criticism
seemed directed towards former opening batsman Mohsin Khan and fast bowler Aaqib Javed – the duo who showed interest in the position but refused to go through the process.
