LAHORE, Apr 26 (APP):National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser Friday said that vision and strong determination were imperative for national progress and prosperity.
Addressing a gathering at Akhuwat College,Kasur he said it was useful to pursue various professions,
but before that to be a good human being was also important, and advised the students never to ignore the basic rights of humanity.
“Our approach should be to make 100 percent efforts for the development of the country”,National Assembly Speaker said and stressed that progress was linked to vision.
He reiterated that setting higher goals and aims for oneself were pre-requisites for achievement of dreams.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was the only leader who served the country in many ways and working hard to put the country on the road to progress, he said.
The Speaker appreciated the services rendered by Akhuwat team adding that they were working hard for the betterment of children as well as future of the country.
Earlier, Akhuwat Founder and Chairman Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib while addressing the gathering said that Akhuwat had distributed some Rs 86 billion among 3.3 million families across the country as “Qarz-e-Hasna”.
He explained that students from almost all provinces were getting education at Akhuwat.
Later,the Speaker planted a sapling in the premises of Akhuwat college and visited the building.
Akhuwat Board Member Prof Humayoun Ihsan was also present on the occasion.
