WASHINGTON, April 17 (APP): Michael Kaplan, Deputy Assistant Secretary Department of US Treasury, on Saturday appreciated the performance of Pakistan’s economy during last three years.
He commended the government on continuing with structural reforms and expressed the hope that it would continue to exercise fiscal discipline after the completion of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Programme.
The United States Treasury team headed by Michael Kaplan called on
the Pakistani delegation headed by Finance Secretary Dr Waqar Masood Khan here.
The Finance Secretary briefed the US side about the 10th review of IMF programme, which was cleared by IMF Board without a waiver, according to a press release issued by Pakistan Embassy in Washington.
