ISLAMABAD, Oct 4 (APP): Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Ch Muhammad Barjees Tahir Tuesday said the unity of political parties on national security and Kashmir issues was laudable.
In a statement, he appreciated political leadership of the country for reiterating that the people, government, political parties and the armed forces of Pakistan were firmly united in supporting the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, as guaranteed to them in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
Barjees said that political leadership showed maturity by attending All Parties Conference (APC) for the national interest and condemned the unprovoked Indian aggression and ceasefire violations.
He rejected Indian efforts to shift the focus from its brutal atrocities to suppress the indigenous uprising of the Kashmiri people for liberation from Indian occupation and false claims of terrorism across the LoC.
The minister said Pakistani nation was ready to retaliate against India in case of aggression, adding that India should avoid dream of conducting so called surgical strikes inside Pakistan as it would damage the peaceful atmosphere of the region.
About Imran Khan’s non-serious attitude, he said the whole
leadership of the country was deliberating on consequences and mustering support for Kashmiris while chief of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf was enjoying in Nathia Gali.
