Ulema assure full coop in development of federal capital

MCI takes consolidated steps for improving performance of E&DM

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP): A delegation of Ulema met Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz and assured full cooperation in future development of the federal capital.
Ulema said they will continue to serve Islam and will not be the part of any political activity and sit in (Dharna).
They lauded the steps taken by present government for the development of the country particularly for making federal capital a model city and said they will fully cooperate with the CDA and MCI.
On this occasion mayor said role of Ulema remained exemplary in the development of city and their suggestions would be given preference in future development initiatives to make Islamabad a model city.
The delegation was comprised of Molana Ishaq, Molana Aziz Ur Rehman, Molana Abdul Qadous Abbasi, Molana Abdul Hakeem and other renowned scholars from different schools of thought.
Sheikh Anser Aziz said Ulema has always supported the decisions and initiatives taken for the development of the city.
He said provision of all basic facilities in different mosques would be ensured.
He said all issues including issues of mosques that are being affected due to road expansion projects and their shifting is unavoidable, would be resolved amicably with mutual consultation.
He said Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and CDA will involve Ulema in future awareness campaigns to achieve desired results.
Mayor said he will personally visit mosques and all genuine problems would be resolved on priority.
