Top class sport facilities priority of govt: Ghumman


LAHORE, Oct 28 (APP): Sports Board Punjab (SBP) under the chairmanship of its Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman, continued the review process of gymnasiums, grounds and e-libraries built in various cities of the province on the second day.
The meeting, on Friday, discussed the sports facilities of four divisions – Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Multan.
The district sports officers of Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Khairpur Tamewali, Bahawalpur, Hasilpur, Khanpur, RahimyarKhan, Sadiqabad, Khanewal, Lodhran, Mian Channu, Mailsi, Burewala, Rajanpur, Jampur, Okara and Vehari briefed the meeting about their sports projects.
Addressing the meeting, DG SBP Zulfiqar Ghumman said Sports Board
Punjab (SBP), under the policy of Punjab government, will continue to
build top class sports facilities in the province. “It is our top priority”. He informed that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was taking keen interest in the sports activities and facilities of province and will inaugurate the above-mentioned projects after their completion. “Majority of gymnasiums, grounds and e-libraries has been completed while finishing touches are being given to some of the sports projects in the province.”
Director Admin Muhammad Anees Sheikh, Deputy Director Tariq Wattoo, Chief Engineer Mir Muneer, Ikram Bari and Deputy Director Planning Sadaf Zafar and sports officers of relevant divisions and districts also attended the meeting.
