ISLAMABAD, Dec 9 (APP): Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and met with the family members of plane crash vistims and offered condolences for the departed souls.
Talking to media persons, he said that the DNA procedure will be completed shortly and the family members will soon start receiving
bodies of their loved ones.
He said that on the direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif maximum relief is being provided to the victims’ family members and the government is trying to address their grievances if any.
He said that the DNA samples matching procedure has been completed as the last sample was received at around 5 am on Friday.
He said that some bodies were identified through their used things like wrist watch or ornaments.
He added some other things from victims which received today will be helpful for their identification and their family members have been asked to cooperate in this regard.
He said that sample collection and data entry process has been computerized and the samples have been sent to the relevant
He said that efforts were made to contact with the family members of three foreigners but so far no one has contacted.
Administrator PIMS Dr. Altaf Hussain said that every step is being taken for early completion of all procedures as DNA samples have been collected from all Pakistani victims.
He said that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has arranged an accommodation for family members of the victims.
He added those victims who were identified have been handed over to their family members.
