ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Lt. Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum has said the Parliament itself was a guarantee of the country’s security.
Survival of the country lies in strengthening of democracy
and following of constitution, he said talking to a private news channel.
He said judiciary, media including (social media) were
present in the country for the accountability of the government.
Importance should be given to the parliament and all the
issues should be discussed and addressed in it instead of taking masses to roads on non-issues, he added.
Abdul Qayyum termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor
(CPEC) vital for Pakistan’s progress, as number of projects
including industrial zones would be set up in it over the
suggestions of the provinces.
He said Kashmir was a flash point in South Asia and should
be resolved as per aspirations of Kashmiris.
