Sindh, Punjab Colours, Balochistan register wins in National Women C’ship

ISLAMABAD, Aug 9 (APP): Sindh Colours, Punjab Colours and Balochistan registered wins on the day five of the ongoing of 29th National Women Hockey Championship by defeating their respective opponents here at Naseer Bunda International Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
In the first match Sindh Colours defeated KPK 5-1. Sindh’s Tehmina Ghulam Mustafa scored three goals, while Hina Sarwar and Momal netted one goal apiece. The only goal for KPK came with the stick of Gul Rukh.
The second match of the day, played between Pakistan Army and Pakistan Railways ended in draw. Both the teams made several goal attacking moves, but could not convert any opportunity into a goal.
In the third match, Punjab Colours trounced HEC 2-1. Punjab’s Areeba Sarwar and Hamra Latif scored one goal each, while HEC’s Rukhsana Shuakat scored one goal for her team.
In the last match, Balochistan’s defeated Sindh Whites 1-0 thanks to Rozina for scoring the lone goal of the match.
