ATTOCK, June 4 (APP) : Federal Minister for Parliamentary
Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad termed the federal budget as balanced and loaded with relief.
In the prevailing scenario Federal Budget is growth oriented
and full of relief, he added.
He expressed these views here Saturday at his residence while talking to APP.
The minister said special package for agriculture sector with
reduction in urea prices will help develop agri sector and ensure prosperity of the farmers.
He said that the government employees salaries have been
increased and scales of clerks have been upgraded. To make the defence of the country strong, defence budget has been enhanced to 860 billion, he added.
Sheikh Aftab Ahmad said that special economic zones will be
set up to create job opportunities. Allocation of Rs 800 billion for PSDP and Rs 100 billion for temporarily displaced persons is good omen, he added.
He said that Rs 115 billion allocation for BISP is praise
worthy step to help the poor. Sufficient allocation has been made for education and health sectors and said that this is a development oriented budget, he added.
MNA Malik Aetbar Khan while talking on this occasion also
termed the Federal Budget a balanced one with sufficient allocation for all the sectors including enhancement in defence budget which is need of the hour.
He said that this time special funds have been allocated for
agri sector with reduction in urea prices which will certainly bring positive change in this sector and help in improving the financial position of the farmers.
The MNA said that to maintain peace in the country enhancement in defence budget is a wise step as only peace in the country could guarantee of development.
Malik Aetbar Khan said , Rs 21 billion have been allocated for
higher education while Rs 115 billion have been allocated for
BISP which is also a praise worthy step.
He said, those sitting in the opposition are using
traditional words to oppose the present federal budget otherwise they have nothing concrete in this context, he added.
