ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (APP): Shaheed Deputy Commissioner Chitral,
Osama Ahmed Warraich was an obedient and caring personalty whose
presence used to bring happiness and delight in our house.
DC Chitral, Usama Warraich was amongst the 47 casualties of PK 661 flight that crashed a few days ago in Haripur.
In an exclusive talk with APP here on Sunday, mother of Osama Warrich remembered her beloved son and said she had always advised Osama to earn Halal and lead a simple and honest life.
She said thanks to Allah Almighty that Osama made all these good things part of his life.
He (Osama) was not fond of new dresses and food but he had a passion to serve maximum the humanity and was always ready to take part in welfare activities.
“May be he was in hurry. As I said he was an obedient person and always kept me informed about his activities,” she said.
Osama’s mother said upon his arrival at home she used to cook different kinds of meals and on that unfortunate day she cooked a carrot Kheer.
“Driver had gone to airport to pick him. I constantly tried to contact him on his (Osama) mobile but it was switched off. The driver’s mobile phone was also not responding,” she said and added that a TV news about missing of plane made me shocked and stunned.
“I called Osama’s father and then his brother about the missing plane who advised me patience but I knew that I had lost everything,” she said in a sad tone and weeping eyes.
Osama was a young DMG officer of 37 Common who graduated from
the civil services academy in 2010. He joined the KPK civil service
corps as assistant commissioner, Abbottabad. He later went on to
serve as ADC Peshawar before getting posted as deputy commissioner
Chitral in 2015.
Locals in Abbottabad still remember Osama who seemed to idealize his maternal uncle DIG Zulfiqar Cheema (retired) for his bold efforts for removal of massive encroachments along Karakoram Highway.
He used to ask people visiting Chitral to help him rehabilitate the 200 bed Civil Hospital Chitral, built during 1970s.
She said people of Chitral were very mush satisfied with Osama’s performance and coming to us to condole his untimely death.
Osama had served people of Chitral with commitment, she said.
