ISLAMABAD, Sept 13 (APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and
Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has greeted the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The minister, in a message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, said,
“I greet the whole nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and pray to Allah Almighty to give such a happy occasion time and again in our lives”.
He said Eid-ul-Azha was a gift from the Almighty to the
Muslims after the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), who sacrificed his son Hazrat Ismael (AS). Eidul Azha reminded the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ismael (AS).
The minister said the day of Eid promoted the spirit of
love, brotherhood, generosity, tolerance and sacrifice among the people.
Besides, he said, the Eid day created an environment of
increased mutual contacts, which the country direly needed
especially int the prevailing situation.
Sardar Yousaf said the day demanded that faithful should
share joy of Eid with the needy, as it would bring a real happiness to them.
