Rs 60,695 million released for NHA under PSDP


ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP): The Government has released Rs 60,695 million for National Highway Authority (NHA) under the Public Sector Development Programe (PSDP) till May 20.

A sum of Rs 20,000 million has been released for Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Section (230 km) of Karachi-Lahore Motorway (KLM), while Rs 5,220 million have been released for 387 km Multan-Sukkur Section of the KLM, official sources told APP.

As much as Rs 2740 million have been released for Thakot to Havelian 120 km (Construction of Phase-I of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) while Rs 3,000 million have been released for land acquisition, the sources said.

According to sources, Rs 2,000 million have been released to ensure timely completion of Lowari Tunnel & Access Roads in District Dir.  A total Rs 460 million have been released for the construction of bridge over Indus River at Qazi Ahmed Amri including Skrand Bypass (Nawab Shah), Rs 190 million have been released for construction of bridge across River Chinab linking Shorkot and Garh Maharaja in Jhang district.

For the consturction of 57 km section of Faisalabad-Multan Motorway including land acquisition, a total Rs 440 million have been released under PSDP-2015-16.

For the construction of 200 km Gwadar-Turbat-Hoshab Section of M-8, a total Rs 560 million have been released. For the widening & improvement of Hoshab-Nag-Basima-Surab Highway (N-85) Rs 2,500 million have been released, the sources said.
