ISLAMABAD, Jun 28 (APP): Rain/dust-thundershower with isolated heavyfalls accompanied by strong gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, FATA, Kashmir and isolated places at Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall is expected in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Makran divisions, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions, FATA, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Multan, D.G Khan divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending eastwards. Monsoon currents are continually penetrating in the country and likely to continue during next couple of days. A westerly wave is present over Afghanistan and western border of Pakistan and likely to persist during next 48 hours, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours rain/dust-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Punjab, Islamabad, upper KP, FATA, Quetta, Kalat, Sibbi, Sukkur, Larkana divisions and Kashmir.
Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours were Sibbi 63mm, Sheikh Manda 08mm, Samungli 05mm, Khuzdar 04mm, Faisalabad 49mm, Joharabad 30mm, Khanpur 28mm, Okara 25mm, Murree 20mm, Lahore (city 14mm, Air Port 01mm), Sahiwal, Sargodha, Mianwali 13mm, Noorpurthal 08mm, Chakwal 07mm, Bahawalnagar, Bhakkar 06mm, Gujrat 05mm, Gujranwala 03mm, Sialkot 01mm, Rohri 26mm, Larkana 10mm, Malam Jabba 25mm, Kakul, Kohat 19mm, Balakot, Saidu Sharif 16mm, Cherat 10mm, Parachinar 09mm, Dir 02mm, Muzaffarabad 06mm, Garidupatta 02mm and Rawalakot 01mm.
