Rain-thunderstorm likely at upper region in next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, July 16, (APP): Rain-thunderstorm with isolated
heavy falls is expected at a number of places in upper region of the country at upper Khaber Pakhtukhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and FATA in next 24 hours.

Rainfall is likely at KP in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar,
Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Upper Punjab at Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Lahore divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in south Punjab aat Multan, D.G.Khan and Bahawalpur divisions.

Heavy downpour may generate Flash/Urban Flooding and
landslides in vulnerable areas of Upper KP, GB, Northeast Punjab and Kashmir.

Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough
extending eastwards. Monsoon currents are also penetrating upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 3 days, an official of Met office told APP.

In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered
places in upper Punjab, Islamabad, upper KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Maximum Temperatures recorded on Saturday were Sibbi, Larkana 44øC, Dadu, Panjgur, Rahimyarkhan, Turbat 43øC, Multan 39øC , Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad 38øC, Lahore 36øC, Islamabad, Hyderabad 35øC, Karachi, Chitral 34øC, Kalat, Muzaffarabad, Kalat 33 øC, Gilgit 32øC, Dir 30øC, Skardu 27øC, Hunza 24øC and Murree 23øC.
