ISLAMABAD, Jun 29 (APP): Rain, dust-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Punjab, KP, Kashmir and FATA during next 24 hours.
Rainfall is likely at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Kalat, Makran and Mirpurkhas divisions, FATA, Islamabad and Kashmir.
Seasonal low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending eastwards. Moderate monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in southern parts and likely to continue during next 24 hours.
Weak monsoon currents are also penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to continue during next 48 hours. A westerly wave is present over Afghanistan and western border of Pakistan and likely to persist during next couple of days, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours rain/dust-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Kalat, Zhob divisions and FATA while at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Malakand divisions.
Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours remained Karachi (Air Port 43mm, Nazimabad 25mm, IMG 24mm, Masroor, Gulshan-e-Hadid 17mm, Sadder, Faisal 15mm, Landhi 12mm, Shaheed Benazirabad 40mm, Hyderabad 18mm, Mithi, Mirpurkhas 06mm, Chhor 04mm, Badin, Thatta 02mm, Parachinar 40mm Kalam 06mm, Dir 02mm, Lasbela 16mm, Kalat 08mm and Zhob 04mm.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Wednesday remained Dadu 45øC, Chillas, Turbat 43øC, Dalbandin 42øC, Islamabad 37øC, Lahore 36øC, Karachi 38øC, Peshawar 38øC, Quetta 35øC, Gilgit 38øC, Chitral 33øC, Hunza 31øC, Muzaffarabad 37øC, Murree 24øC, Skardu 34øC, Faisalabad 36øC, Multan 38øC, Hyderabad 39øC, Dir 33øC and Kalat 30øC.
