ISLAMABAD, July 11 (APP): Rain-thunderstorm/windstorm with isolated heavy falls is expected at a number of places in Karachi,Hyde rabad, Mirpurkhas, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during next 24 hours.
Scattered rain/thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls is
likely in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, Multan, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Makran, Kalat divisions and Barkhan.
Met office warned that heavy downpour may generate urban/flash flooding and landslides in vulnerable areas.
An official of Met office told APP that seasonal low lies over
Northeast Balochistan. Yesterday’s monsoon low over north Madhya Pradesh today lies over West Madhya Pradesh. A weak westerly wave is located over northern areas of the country.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain/dust-thundershower occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara divisions, FATA and Kashmir.
Rainfall recorded during this time span was Malamjabba 32mm, Kakul 07mm, Saidu Sharif 05mm, Murree 15mm, Rawalakot 25mm, Garidupatta 15mm and Kotli 07mm.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Monday were Turbat 45øC, Dalbandin, Panjgur 44øC, Nokkundi 43øC, Chillas 42øC, Peshawar 40øC, Islamabad, Multan, Quetta 38øC, Hyderabad 37øC, Chitral, Lahore, Muzaffarabad 36øC, Gilgit, Faisalabad, Dir 35øC, Kalat 34øC, Hunza 33øC, Karachi 32øC, Skardu 28øC and Murree 25øC.
