Prompt rescue efforts by PN save precious lives in Ormara

KARACHI, Oct 16 (APP): Pakistan Navy rescue teams on Sunday rescued 39 people who were injured in a road accident near Zero Point, Ormara.
A Pakistan Navy statement issued here on Sunday said that the injured were immediately shifted to Pakistan Navy hospital PNS Darmanjaah at Jinnah Naval Base Ormara by PN ambulances, where they were provided necessary medical treatment.
It said that the accident occurred in the early hours on Sunday, when a passenger bus collided with an ambulance near Maneyjee Check post, almost 14 km from Ormara. The bus was on its way from Karachi to Turbat.
PN Rescue teams along with civil administration reached the scene of the accident to evacuate and provide first aid to the injured. The 39 injured were shifted to PN hospital PNS Darmanjaah for immediate medical aid.
The 34 passengers who sustained minor injuries were discharged after necessary treatment. Later, five severely injured were shifted to Karachi via Pakistan Navy and civil ambulances for aftercare.
Local populace has highly appreciated the prompt rescue effort by Pakistan Navy which saved many precious human lives and is a representation of Pakistan Navy’s resolve to always help its brethren in need.
