Policemen rendered matchless sacrifices for motherland: Collector Customs

PESHAWAR, Oct 26 (APP): The Collector Customs, Peshawar, Qurban Ali Khan has said that the martyrs of Police Force – Shaheed Malik Muhammad Saad, Shaheed Sifwat Ghayur and many others have established such immortal sacrifices which bear rare examples in the annals of history.
This he stated during his visit to the office of Malik Muhammad Saad Shaheed Memorial Sports Trust here on Wednesday, adding, it is the responsibility of the new generation to seek guidance and contribute their positive and constructive role for economic development of the province.
Qurban Ali was briefed on working and achievements of the trust with the help of documentaries and pictures. He also recorded his views in the visitor’s book on this occasion and also filled up the membership form of the trust.
While, expressing his views on services of the trust, Qurban Ali Khan said that facing hours of tests, is a normal practice in life of nations and those who succeed in overcoming them, step ahead with honor and dignity.
The Pakistan Customs, the Collector Customs said, has earned many achievements in various sport arenas and bears the honor to have represented the country in many games internationally, the hockey in particular. Presently too, he added, the Pakistan Customs, has been contributing significantly towards promotion of various games.
Appreciating the services being rendered by MSS Trust for promotion of sports in the province and FATA, he said it would indeed be remembered for a long time to come for its exemplary role of working in testing hours of the nation.
He expressed the confidence that the players graduating from the sport academies, working under the aegis of the trust will succeed in securing berths among the national level teams.
He also conceded to a proposal to help in concluding a MoU between Malik Saad Trust and the Pakistan Customs for promotion of sports as well as to jointly working for well being of sportsmen. I
In this connection he also assured fullest cooperation on part of the Customs Directorate of Sports to the trust towards promotion of sports both in the province and FATA.
