ISLAMABAD, Mar 22 (APP):Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) will hold a colorful cultural show to mark Pakistan Day here on March 23 (Saturday) featuring performance by renowned folk artistes.
Attiring in traditional costumes, folk artistes and folk singers from all provinces including Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan will present folk and regional dances and folk songs to portray the traditions of their respective regions while they will also present national songs to highlight the significance of Pakistan day.
The program is being arranged by the PNCA and Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to celebrate the Day in befitting manner.
The program will focus on serving the fun lovers as informative entertainment through highlighting cultural heritage and traditions of the country and also pay tribute to the heroes of Pakistan Movement and the struggle of freedom fighters.
“The program has been planned with the theme of highlighting freedom movement, heroes of Pakistan movement and portraying the rich culture and traditions of Pakistan through performing art,” said an official of PNCA.
These programs are a regular feature of PNCA to celebrate the national days by presenting a variety of cultural and entertainment activities to promote tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Pakistan.
Such events highlight the memories of heroes of Pakistan Movement and their sacrifices which led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent, the official said.
