PML-N wins LG elections with majority: Abid Sher Ali

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6 (APP): Minister of State for Water and Power
Abid Sher Ali Friday said that Pakistan Muslim League-N has won the
Local Government Elections with clear majority.
Taking to media persons outside the Parliament House, he said, the
party leadership would decide about Mayor for Faisalabad.
Abid Sher said, he had brought the matter of Faisalabad LG
election in the knowledge of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He said democracy would flourish effectively when the opposition
would play its constructive role in and outside the Parliament.
To a question about recent building collapse in Lahore, the
minister said the provincial governments should implement the
building codes strictly and inspect all multi-storey buildings in
the wake of the recent earthquake to avoid untoward incident.
He said the national economy was improving with each
passing day as the result of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N)
government’s prudent policies.
Abid Sher Ali said the country had suffered a lot due to
terrorism, but now a comprehensive strategy is being implemented to
root out this emnace.
He said the government has improved the electricity
transmission lines and enhanced recovery from defaulters, also reducing
circular debt.
