ISLAMABAD, June 1 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who underwent a successful cardiac surgery in London will be shifted to his room on Thursday, daughter Maryam Nawaz said in a tweet.

“Overall, his surgeons [are] very happy with his progress,” Maryam informed.

“PM will be in ICU for another 24 hours & will Insha’Allah be shifted to his room tomorrow,” she said.

Maryam, who has held the fort since the Prime Minister is
away, said his surgeons visited this morning and removed two drain tubes from his chest which has alleviated his
discomfort.

She said the removal of tubes also allowed the Prime
Minister to sit briefly.

“InshaAllah he will be with us soon,” Maryam said in
response to hundreds of messages from across the world that congratulated her and the family on successful operation, at a private hospital on Tuesday.

Maryam has been the prime source of information since
her father underwent the heart surgery.
