PM leaves for Tehran after holding talks with Saudi leadership

RIYADH, Jan 19 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif left here for Iran on the second leg of his visit after holding talks with the leadership of Saudi Arabia.
The Governor of Riyadh and high officials saw off the Prime Minister and his delegation at the Shah Salman Air base. Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and PM’s Special
Assistant Tariq Fatemi accompanied the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Sharif will arrive in Iran’s capital Tehran and will hold talks with President Hassan Rouhani.
During Prime Minister Sharif’s meeting with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, both sides exchanged views on various facets of enduring cooperation with
regard to Saudi initiative of formation of the coalition of Islamic countries against terrorism.
The Prime Minister reiterated that “the people of
Pakistan would always stand with the people of Saudi Arabia
against any threat to the sovereignty and territorial
integrity of the Kingdom.”
