ISLAMABAD, Sep 21 (APP): Former foreign minister Shah
Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday termed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s address in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) a balanced speech which covered all national and international issues, including Kashmir dispute.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the Prime
Minister had presented Pakistan’s historical stance and view
point on all the issues.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said after a long time Kashmir issue
was highlighted in UNGA. He lauded Nawaz Sharif for
courageously highlighting the Kashmir cause.
He said, terrorism was a big issue in Pakistan and it wanted
a peaceful Afghanistan.
Hina Rabbani Khar, another former foreign minister said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had addressed UNGA as per expectations of the nation.
She said the Prime Minister had asserted that Pakistan wa a
peace loving country which did not want any confrontation with any country.
Hina Rabbani Khar termed the Prime Minister’s speech a need of the hour and highlighted the Kashmir issue in accordance with UNGA resolutions.
