ISLAMABAD, May 17 (APP): Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Tuesday issued show cause notices to Dunya News and Channel 24 for live airing objectionable contents on May 15.

The notices have been served to the television channels for the live telecast of the news conference of leaders of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Allam Raja Abbasi Jafri and Sunni Ittehad Council’s Sahibzada Hamid Raza Khan in which they used inappropriate language against judiciary and army, particularly the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

According a PEMRA press release, the authority had given warning to all TV channels time and again to be responsible while reporting on the matters relating to judiciary and army.
