PCB not give up holding PSL final in Lahore

ISLAMABAD, Oct 6 (APP): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday congratulated Pakistan team and management for the remarkable 3-0 victory over West Indies in the ODI series.

Chairman PCB Shaharyar M. Khan congratulated ODI Skipper Azhar Ali, Head Coach Mickey Arthur, Manager Wasim Bari, the team and the support staff for the victory, said a press release issued here.

PCB Chairman said it has been an incredible team effort to defeat West Indies in all three ODI matches. “After clean sweeping the World Champions in the Twenty20 series, this ODI rubber victory is indeed admirable and in this the contribution of the coaching staff headed by Mickey cannot be ignored,” he said.

He also praised Babar for his splendid performance hitting three consecutive centuries in as many matches. “I am hopeful that this young team will continue to perform the same way in future bilateral series as well as in the ICC tournaments,” he said.

Najam Sethi, PCB Chairman Executive Committee said the team victory was a reflection of true spirit and professionalism from the players in the series.
Subhan Ahmad, PCB Chief Operating Officer said the team has performed exceptionally well in all three departments of the game during the series.
