ISLAMABAD, May 6 (APP): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced former South African cricketer Mickey Arthur as head coach of the national cricket team.

Following Waqar Younis resignation as head coach last month, the PCB embarked upon a transparent process of inviting applications from potential candidates for the position of Head Coach, says a press release issued here.

PCB appointed a panel including Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja and Faisal Mirza to give recommendations to the board. The panel received and reviewed applications forwarded four recommendations to the PCB for it to make a final decision.
