ISLAMABAD, May 21 (APP): Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) Saturday categorically rejected the allegations of figures fudging in the process of determining macro-economic indicators.

“Some so-called economic experts are out to mislead the people through media and various seminars about the authenticity of the PBS which is totally wrong as it works under an internationally recognized methodology,” Asif Bajwa, Chief Statistician said in a press briefing here.

He said the National Accounts Committee comprised 35-40 members, who were heads of various federal and provincial governments, which provided data to the PBS.
