Pathankot incident; Pakistan’s position vindicated: FO

ISLAMABAD, Jun 2 (APP): Pakistan on Thursday said the
Indian statement regarding Pathankot incident has vindicated
Pakistan’s longstanding position in the context.

“The statement of DG NIA Government of India has
vindicated Pakistan’s longstanding position in the context,”
said Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria.

He said this in response to the media queries on Indian
NIA (National Investigation Agency) DG’s statement regarding no proof of involvement of Pakistan Government or Pakistani agencies in Pathankot incident.

“Pakistan’s spirit of cooperation is manifested in the
action we took in the wake of the alleged incident. JIT’s
visit was in this backdrop,” he said adding, “The JIT is
examining whatever information and intelligence has been
shared by India during the visit.”

The Spokesperson added that Pakistan believed in
peaceful coexistence with countries in the region and beyond.
