ISLAMABAD, NOV 24 (APP): Parliamentarians on Thursday hailed the
services of Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in war against terrorism and restoring peace in restive Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Talking to APP outside the Parliament House, the members of the
parliament hoped that the new Army Chief will carry forward the legacy of General Raheel in terms of professionalism and fighting our remnants of terrorism in the country.
“General Raheel is a bold man who took courageous decision in rooting
out anti state actors and helped to usher in a new era of development in FATA and Balochistan,” they remarked.
The parliamentarians Raja Javeed Akhlas, Shibli Faraz, Ejaz ul Haq,
Usman Kakar, Dr Nighat Yasmeen, Saeed Ghani, Abid Raza Abidi and Malik
Abrar have appreciated the three year tenure of Raheel Sharif.
Chief of PML Z MNA Ejaz ul Haq said, “I commend General Raheel for
his services and steps he had taken against terrorists.”
Dr. Nighat Yasmeen said General Raheel is a man of principle and opted for retirement on time instead of seeking extension.
Malik Abrar and Raja Javeed Akhlas said due to vision and planning of General Raheel the operation Zarb e Azb against the terrorists has been successful. “He is appreciated not only within the country but also internationally.”
Senator Saeed Ghani and Abid Raza Abidi said with the efforts of
General Raheel Sharif, peace has been restored in Karachi.
